Advocacy

It takes robust public funding and sound conservation policy to shape the framework for quality habitat and create access for hunting. Learn more about how Pheasants Forever (PF) and Quail Forever’s (QF) dedicated Government Affairs team works across America to secure public policies, programs, and funding that benefit the uplands.

Federal and state policy decisions are made every day that impact upland birds and habitat—as well as access and opportunity for upland hunters. It is critical that Pheasants Forever and Quail Forever’s Government Affairs team and grassroots advocates lead the way in Washington D.C. and state capitals across America to secure funding for programs and enact policies that benefit the uplands.

Thank you to our chapters, volunteers, and members for the generous grassroots and Legislative Action Fund (LAF) support that makes this advocacy work possible. To directly support our efforts to put more birds in the air and boots on the ground through advocacy, please consider making a financial contribution.

Advocacy Priorities

PF & QF’s Government Affairs team engages in advocacy at both the federal and state levels, guided by a simple test: Does a policy conserve habitat, create opportunity for hunters and wildlife enthusiasts, rely on the best available science, and strengthen the chapter network that makes our mission possible?
