Upland Caucus
The Upland Caucus is an exclusive network of grassroots conservation leaders representing Pheasants Forever (PF) & Quail Forever (QF) chapters from across the country. Comprised of the top-contributing chapters to the Legislative Action Fund (LAF) from each of our 26-chapter regions, the Caucus brings together dedicated advocates to help shape policies that benefit upland wildlife, their habitats, and the future of hunting.
Working alongside the Government Affairs team, the grassroots conservation leaders invited to serve in the PF & QF Upland Caucus provide valuable on-the-ground perspectives while serving as ambassadors for conservation advocacy in their regions. Throughout their one-year term, Upland Caucus members engage in meaningful advocacy opportunities designed to strengthen the organization’s voice at both state and federal levels:
Participate in quarterly policy briefings with the Government Affairs team and guest conservation/policy leaders.
Help shape PF & QF’s advocacy priorities by contributing to the organization’s Policy Book.
Meet with members of Congress and federal agencies during the annual Washington, D.C. fly-In.
Participate in state-level advocacy opportunities where applicable, including legislative meetings, capitol days, and testimony.
Receive special recognition and exclusive programming at Pheasant Fest and Quail Classic.
The Upland Caucus strengthens PF & QF's grassroots voice by connecting volunteer leaders directly with the legislative process. Members also help ensure that PF & QF decisions affecting habitat conservation, public access, conservation funding, and hunting are informed by those who live, work, and recreate on the landscape.
